The wine looks killer. Twenty-four inter-planted varieties (all put in the ground between 1888 and 1895), dominated by 55% Zinfandel and 30% Carignane, have produced this Mediterranean, full-throttle, pedal-to-the-metal, dark ruby\/purple wine. Loads of grilled meat, steak tartare, Provençal herbs, lavender, blackberry, cassis and sweet cherries are all present in this lovely, full-bodied, voluptuously textured, big fruit bomb from Twain-Peterson.
