As would be expected this is completely different from the Mazoyères with its even more pronounced floral and sauvage elements that add considerable breadth to the very fresh and overtly spicy nose of earth, cassis and wild red berry fruit aromas. There is plenty of punch and muscle to the intense, detailed and markedly mineral-inflected broad-shouldered flavors that deliver huge length on the explosive finish that remains beautifully balanced. This built-to-age beauty will require a very long slumber in a cool cellar and will not be a candidate for early consumption.
