100% Garnacha Tinto

Sourced from two estate vineyards on the slopes of the Sierra de Toloño (Sierra Cantabria Mountains). La Hueta sits on a steep slope of clay soils. The vines were established in 1940 
and are farmed to deliver low-yields. A thick cover crop of vegetation is maintained to help prevent erosion due to the precipitous incline. Las Grieldas was planted in the 1980s in clay-calcareous soils on slopes situated to the morning sun.

PROCESS

Grapes are hand-harvested and the spontaneous fermentation of destemmed fruit occurs in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of fruit and minerality. Malolactic fermentation and aging, for at least one year, occurs in concrete eggs.

TASTING NOTES

Caramel-red in color with a violet rim. Aromatically intense with notes of candied cherry and wild herbs. A hint of balsamic is balanced gracefully with the wine’s freshness of character. Elegant and minerally on the lengthy palate.
