The Égrég'Or Rosé is a 100% Meunier.
While not sold or communicated to be a vintage, this cuvée is exclusively from the 2017 harvest.
All of these Meunier grapes are from the same old vines (amongst the very first to have been planted by the Demière family back in 1929), which have previously been used for the Cuvée Égrég'Or, which was white wine based and a declared vintage (2010).
For the vinification, 100% of the wine undergoes vinification in one of the three unlined (no glass or other material) concrete ovoide (egg-shaped amphora).
There is a very limited production of this cuvée, and to date the only one made in rosé format. The Demières are eager for another year like 2017 that will allow them to elaborate more of their cuvée Égrég'Or as a rosé. Bold, elegant, and outstanding a true work of Art! Schneider's of Capitol Hill
