A blend of 60% Grenache and 20% each Mourvèdre and Syrah, the 2022 Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu Cuvee des Galets spent only eight months in concrete prior to bottling. Scents of sunbaked stones, dried herbes de Provence and black cherries are joined by a charming hint of licorice on the nose. Full-bodied, velvety textured and long on the finish, it's a beauty to enjoy over the next several years. Joe Czerwinski
