Apricot, white flowers, mint, white pepper and tangerine oil are nicely pushed forward. The warmer season yielded an especially forward, open-knit Chardonnay. The Chardonnays in particular are magnificent. Then again, Chardonnay does so well here, high atop the majestic ridges of Fort Ross-Seaview. In recent years, Forthun has started to introduce larger-format oak, which works so well in letting the wines breathe.
