Chardonnay has significant historical roots with Goosecross Cellars considering it was the first varietal grown on the State Lane Estate, and was the first wine produced and bottled by Goosecross.
Our Chardonnay opens with an expressive, inviting nose of ripe pear, melon, and sun-kissed peach, layered with a soft note of meringue that adds a touch of creaminess. On the palate, a lively thread of salinity awakens the senses, giving way to flavors of green pineapple and prickly pear. A hint of Nilla wafer rounds out the mid-palate, bringing a subtle, nostalgic warmth. The result is a vibrant yet polished wine with energy and a beautifully mouthwatering finish.
