Jean Laurent Rose Brut - NV (1.5L)

Very dark pink. As usual, one of the more idiosyncratic Champagnes that I tasted this year, offering aromas and flavors of pomegranate, redcurrant and bitter cherry, with notes of candied rose, Moroccan spices and botanical herbs. Densely packed red fruit flavors are lifted by a blood orange nuance and a dusty mineral quality. The finish is long, spicy and refreshingly bitter.
