The flavors enter the palette on bright fresh plum, boysenberry, and cassis notes mixing with deeper spice notes of cedar box, cinnamon, black and white peppercorns, and a hint of dried herbs and pipe tobacco leaf. The wine finishes very long, the cab franc helps here, on barrel vanilla notes with a firm tannin structure for long aging potential. Winemaker's Notes
