Sweetness, acidity and piquant plum flavor distinguish this lovely low-alcohol aperitif. Green plums provide the tartness, artisan rock sugar the sweetness and pure junmai sake the satisfying balance and smoothness.

Always serve chilled, either as an aperitif or after-dinner drink. Also lends itself to enjoyable mealtime sipping.

Made with half of the typical sugar used in Umeshu, a green plum flavored liqueuer, this is made with super-premium, hand-picked fruit and offers a pale pink color and intense plum aromas.  The balance is more tart than sweet and the ume reinforces the impression of umami from the rice spirit base.  Try this in a summer spritz, as an alternative to Vermouth to classic cocktails, in a white Negroni.
